About Me: I was thrilled to be voted the winner of the first Podfive  Pod Idol contest in early spring of 2008. I love music. Lots and lots of music was played for me by my parent’s!  I was taught to have an open mind about music and every thing!  Their album collection--it's amazing, contributing greatly to my eclectic taste. Everything was there from A to Zed, Blues, Jazz, Rock, Country, Classical, world, etc! That access was a blessing. I watched every Elvis movie, and sang his songs to my grandparents. (Thank goodness, I got over the Evel Knievel phase quickly.)  I enjoyed messing around with multiple stereo systems growing up, blew many amps and receivers connecting loud speakers of differing ohms from old radios, cars, junkyards etc! I love to be around H₂O, creeks, streams, rivers, puddles, pools, ponds, lakes, baths, showers, and rain.  I love the city of Pittsburgh because of its 3 rivers (it actually has 4, but one goes beneath the city) and Duquesne University where I got my degree.

I enjoy podcasts a lot. I love it when I get to hear real personalities on the podcasts, especially those with pure raw talent. I have vast extremes in taste. This whole channel thing is cool.  You can see what I think is pretty hot stuff or find your own.  Sometimes the content on my channel (The shows )I listen to are for the mature only, as in not “family safe” or “work safe.”  So be forewarned, look for the explicit label!   My show will always be safe so enjoy Jaan's world wherever you may be!

This mevio thing is very cool.  I  have had a podcast of my own for some time now. The format is music, tiny, tiny amounts of politics, humor, or all this and more.  I use a Snowball mic.  I love it.  (The first 3 shows, I used an Isite, not bad but . . . .)  As you know, the mic is the important first step in the chain to the listener's ear.

Stuck in the Mushroom capital of the freaking world, I find podcasts a lifesaver because Philly radio sucks. Philly radio used to be fantastic, but now it is all the same.
